I met then skeleton Helen, sitting by the road. I gave her food but she didn’t do anything. I thought it was her URI, so I took her home and brought her to see vet. Her long term, untreated URI and bad nourishment ravaged her so much she lost one eye, has dull sense of smell, lost her voice, and reduced sense of hearing.
Even with multiple disabilities, Helen bounced back. She still have runny nose and runny eye, but she is otherwise healthy, so we stopped giving her antibiotics and let her live normally. Today Helen is a slender, but muscle firm lady who loves to hang out by the window and the kitchen counter. She will whisper her meows by your ears and love head scratches.
