Clean water crisis – please help us

We have a clean water crisis since last Friday.
The pump that provides water to our area was broken, and the community authorities are working their hardest to fix it as soon as possible, but for the time being, we have to buy water. Nobody can guarantee when the pump will be back running.

Clean water is USD 5 per 100 liters (about 26 gallons) and everyday we need at least 500 liters (132 gallons) to wash towels and blankets, clean litter boxes, mop the house, and sanitize the cattery. As this water is not as good in quality compared to our own, we also have to buy bottled water for cooking and drinking.

Although USD 100 x 50 might seem an insignificant amount, it is a heavy extra load to add to every other aspects of the shelter that we have to fit in our weekly USD 600 fundraiser.

If you have some to spare, please help us buy some water and keep the cats healthy and hydrated. Please help us continue to cook healthy and clean food for them. Please help us prevent sickness by keeping the shelter and their beds clean.

Most of all, please help them keep the second chance in life they have so courageously fought for.
